Learn more about Community Solar Gardens and how you can participate. New legislation in Minnesota has created an opportunity that allows individuals and households to “subscribe” to energy from a solar installation located on a large roof in the community. This gives new options for community members to participate without the need to have a solar installation on their home.
A representative from Minnesota Community Solar, will deliver a short presentation and convene a dialogue on the program. Discover how you can partner with Cool Planet to grow this idea!

Sam Daley-Harris—author, activist, and social entrepreneur—shares the 20th anniversary edition of his book Reclaiming Our Democracy and how the organizations he has founded (RESULTS and the Microcredit Summit Campaign) or coached (Citizens Climate Lobby) have been leading change-makers in three global movements: 1) microfinance, 2) child survival, and 3) climate change. Daley-Harris will discuss how he has helped thousands of ordinary citizens transform hopelessness into extraordinarily powerful advocacy. Humphrey School Senior Fellow and resident grassroots democracy philosopher Dr. Harry Boyte will offer comments.
Reclaiming Our Democracy for the Common Global Good, St. John’s University, Collegeville – Thursday, October 10, 7:30pm
A pioneer and global leader in the field of microcredit, Daley-Harris has been a collaborator of Nobel Prize Laureate Muhammad Yunus and has been called “one of the certified great social entrepreneurs of the last decades.” His work in poverty alleviation has helped over 100 million of the world’s poorest families. Other recent efforts includes the development of the influential Citizen’s Climate Lobby and the Center for Citizen Empowerment and Transformation.
